Scholarships and Aid

Find support for your education

Scholarships, emergency funding, and other financial aid can help keep your out-of-pocket costs for college as low as possible. Consider opportunities specific to you as a University College student.

You can search for University College scholarships and more through the IU Scholarships portal. Complete the General Scholarship Application each fall when it opens in September to have the most options for scholarships to support your education. By completing the general application, you'll start receiving recommendations for scholarships that could be a good fit for you.

Yale Pratt Mentoring Scholarship

University College freshmen who are between the ages of 25 and 35 can apply for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students who can articulate adversities they have overcome to be successful in college. The award amount varies. Applications typically open in November and close in February.

Evenbeck emergency funding

Sometimes, surprises happen—and a little extra funding can go a long way. The Scott E. Evenbeck Emergency Fund offers current University College students and Division of Undergraduate Education student employees up to $500 to cover emergency expenses. Whether it's an unexpected car repair or food insecurity, IU Indy offers emergency aid that can help you navigate the unforeseen.
