Pre-Professional Programs

What does pre-professional mean?

If you plan on attending professional school once you graduate with a bachelor’s degree, then you are “pre-professional.” It’s important to start preparing for professional school early because a lot goes into completing the prerequisites and becoming the best possible candidate you can be when applying.

As long as you’ve completed the pre-professional track requirements for your intended field of study, you can choose any undergraduate major you would like. The most important thing is to choose a major that you love and that you will excel at; this will not only help you achieve a higher GPA, but it will also allow you to speak about your experiences with passion and enthusiasm and to stand out from the crowd—all crucial elements when applying to professional schools.
