Each year, nearly half of first-year students begin their IU Indianapolis journey in University College. Being a University College student is something to celebrate—and that’s exactly what we do with a variety of traditions throughout the academic year.

Each semester, we celebrate our University College students who have been admitted into their degree-granting schools at the Earned My Spot Celebration. As you transition from University College to your new school, we’ll recognize all you have accomplished already and will help you connect with your new advising team. Don’t miss out on your certificate and ringing the celebration bell!
Each November, Fall Career Week offers dozens of events to connect you with employers, career professionals, staff, faculty, and peers with career expertise you won’t want to miss. Get your resume reviewed, find support with your LinkedIn profile, take a professional headshot, and boost your professional wardrobe with a visit to Hire Attire. There’s something for everyone!
From Weeks of Welcome to Jagapalooza, IU Indianapolis knows how to celebrate our Jaguar spirit. Join students from all across campus at these signature events.
