The University College Student Council (UCSC) is a student-run organization comprised of University College students, just like you.
UCSC plans entertaining and educational events throughout the year to help you have fun and connect with other University College students. We also represent the interests of all University College students within the Undergraduate Student Government.
Being a part of UCSC has allowed me to feel a sense of belonging on campus, especially as a commuter student, by getting to attend the events we host every month.

Whether you’re looking to join the council, attend an event, request funding, or review our constitution, our profile on The Spot has what you need.
Stay updated with our upcoming events and meetings, and don’t miss opportunities specific to you, our University College classmates.
We aim to develop first-year students into leaders through involvement on campus while easing your transition to college. This is for the purpose of bettering the student environment on the IU Indianapolis campus while representing University College in the Undergraduate Student Government. We encourage the building of connections and community among University College students to promote a sense of belonging at IU Indianapolis.
Make an impact on campus and gain valuable leadership skills as part of UCSC. We’re a place where you can meet new people and have fun!
Be a part of our many events each year, either on the planning side or as an event attendee. The events range from Halloween parties to food trucks, movie nights, and more. Best of all? They’re all free and easy to participate in.
Our UCSC funding committee is comprised of the executive student council members and is assisted by our advisors. We offer funding opportunities for initiatives to support first-year students.
Before applying, please read through the eligibility guidelines to see if your request qualifies.
The UCSC funding grants are intended to support initiatives promoting personal, social, and academic success among University College students and all first-year college students at IU Indianapolis.
Funding requests for first-year seminar courses are limited to seminars with at least 50% of the class consisting of University College students.
UCSC has given me a place where I can build connections with a wide variety of students on campus and work closely with those in University College.
