- Favorite part about the work you do: The relationships and being part of this roller coaster of a journey that all students go through by just being present for them and helping them navigate the entire process.
- Past jobs and experience: Previously worked at Ivy Tech for 13 years in student success and retention mentoring and coaching students to successful outcomes (completion and graduation).
Advice to students: Continue to put one foot in front of the other day and day out. When we are stuck and have no forward momentum, that is the worst position to be in. No matter what speed we run the race at (the tortoise or the hare), it does not matter as long as we finish the race.
If you could be any major in your cluster, what would it be? Why?
Environmental science: The ability to address issues threatening natural spaces sounds life changing to me. Also, the opportunity to leave the planet and the world in a better place within my lifetime for my kids and family is very important to me. Who doesn't want to leave a lasting impact on this world and for the better?
Biography: I am a lifelong Hoosier. I grew up in the very small town of New Carlisle and have spent the last several years living in Noblesville. I enjoy coaching, sports, woodworking, and landscaping (gardens and flowers). I have a fiance and two girls. We are a cat family and currently have three cats named Toodles, Mr. Bojangles, and Pumpkin. When I am not working, it is more than likely I am at a softball field somewhere.
