- Tenure with the Office of Academic and Career Development: Since August 2021.
- Favorite part about the work you do: I love helping students find their path! I tried four different majors before choosing sociology, and I remember what it felt like to be so unsure. I also enjoy meeting students and hearing their stories every day.
- Past jobs and experience:I have been a transfer student advisor, as well as an AmeriCorps member, a dining hall student manager, a restaurant cashier, and a library shelver.
Advice to students: If you're curious about something, do it! Take a random class you find fascinating, participate in a study abroad program, or join a new organization. You'll learn to step out of your comfort zone, and you might find a new passion. Also, always ask as many questions as you can!
If you could be any major in your cluster, what would it be? Why?
Exploratory, because I love the freedom to be unsure about where you're headed, and the opportunity to try new things.
Biography:I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and then hopscotched around the Midwest before settling in Indianapolis. Outside of work, you can find me exploring Indianapolis, reading a novel from my ridiculously long "to be read" list, or trying to convince myself that I like to cook. I also love to travel, and I'm a (self-proclaimed) expert in finding cheap flights. I've never met a puzzle I didn't like.
