When you pursue a management B.S.B., you learn to develop employees and manage projects to ensure business success. In this major, you’ll gain real-world experience in driving employee engagement, allocating resources, and improving overall business operations.
Coaches and collaborators, diplomats and directors, teachers and taskmasters—today’s managers motivate, develop, and move people and projects up the ladder of business success. At Kelley Indianapolis, you'll learn what it means to manage efficiently and effectively across industries as you tackle real challenges from real companies that are looking for fresh ways to motivate employees, build teams, shape corporate cultures, allocate people and resources, and create strategies to improve operations and to achieve business goals.
Employment of management analysts is projected to grow 10% from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 92,900 openings for management analysts are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Current IU Indianapolis students no longer have to submit an application to be admitted from University College to the Kelley School of Business Undergraduate Program. You'll be notified when the admission requirements are met. To certify into the Kelley School of Business from University College, you'll need to meet one of the sets of admission criteria. You'll be certified as soon as you meet either set of criteria.

Gain background knowledge in business, nonprofit organizations, public management, economics, government finance, public policy, and behavioral science to help you move seamlessly between business, nonprofit/private organizations, and government management roles. Because of the emphasis area courses, you can easily add an O’Neill certificate.
The management and civic leadership major teaches some of the things you would learn in a business school, but you get the added benefit of learning how public agencies and nonprofit organizations operate. This holistic approach helps graduates move seamlessly between business (including human resources), nonprofit/private organizations, and government management roles. Because of the emphasis area courses, you can easily add on an O'Neill certificate.
Employment of social and community service managers is projected to grow 9% from 2022 to 2032, much faster than the average for all occupations. About 16,000 openings for social and community service managers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. As a marketing major, you’ll learn what people want, what they’ll offer up for it, and how to get them to take a desired action, like buying a product or volunteering at an event. The skills you learn with this major will allow you to help a business or organization achieve its goals.
Simply put, marketing is all about making exchanges. In the world of business, it’s about offering something—a product or service, a cause, packaging, reputation, an image or a brand—in exchange for financial compensation. But for that to work, companies have to know what customers want, what they are willing to exchange, and how to move consumers to buy or bestow, volunteer or vote, make a trade, or make a difference. And that’s where marketing professionals come in.
Employment of advertising, promotions, and marketing managers is projected to grow 6% from 2022 to 2032, faster than the average for all occupations. About 34,000 openings for advertising, promotions, and marketing managers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Projects include identifying emerging trends, as well as increasing knowledge and best practices for fund raising and philanthropy.
With this major, you’ll study topics of all kinds, including the policymaking process, program evaluation, management, history, communications, and more. Students in this field of study may choose to pursue one of four concentrations: criminal justice, environmental policy, public health, and social equity. Many go on to law school, but others go into positions in government, government relations, or other fields.
Students will study the policymaking process, law and public policy, performance measurement and program evaluation, government finance and budgets, management, leadership and ethics, history, social sciences, natural sciences, communications, and community and metropolitan development. Graduates often go on to law school or directly into positions in government or government relations, but many career paths are available with this degree.
Employment of urban and regional planners is projected to grow 4% from 2023 to 2033, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 3,600 openings for urban and regional planners are projected each year, on average, over the decade.
